HoYoVerse has unveiled new details about the Genshin Impact Luna IV update, the next chapter of the ongoing Nod Krai storyline.

Genshin Impact Luna IV launches January 14th, and kicks off the new year with the playable debut of a popular character, more Fatui drama as well as the long-requested feature of alternate outfits for the Traveler.

In the latest update to the Nod Krai saga, players will have to take down Il Dottore- Fatui Harbringer now empowered by the Moon Marrows.

Clearing the Archon Quest will unlock a new outfit for the Traveler to reflect their long journey through the many years of Genshin Impact.

The Traveler isn't the only one getting new threads, though, as Neuvilette will also be getting a new skin alongside his rerun.

This update also sees the return of the Lantern Rite festival.

This patch features three new playable characters coming to Genshin Impact, with the first being the playable debut of Columbina the Moon Maiden.

A 5-Star Hydro Catalyst user, Columbina is built around the Lunar reactions- being able to even trigger them while she's off-field.

She even has the ability to revive fallen teammates, as well as enhance Lunar reactions with her Lunar Domain, including the all-new Lunar-Crystallize.

As part of the Lantern Rite celebrations, the next playable character rings in the Year of the Horse with style- bringing Zibai, the White Horse Adeptus.

A 5-star Geo Sword wielder, Zibai is an offensive powerhouse capitalizing on chaining Lunar-Crystallize reactions to increase both their frequency and damage.

In addition, the game is also introducing a new 4-star in the form of Illuga, a Geo polearm user who fights alongside a messenger bird.
