Playstack has announced the release date for Mortal Shell 2, the sequel to the indie-developed souls-like. 

In a new trailer, they announced that Mortal Shell II would release on August 20th on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam.

Similar to the first game, Mortal Shell II has you playing as a being that can inhabit different shells- which act as the game's Class system. 

In this game, you play as The Harbringer, on a quest to recover lost Ova for the Mether. 

Despite having its inspiration drawn form the Souls series, the game makes its own big changes, such as the sequel's particular removal of Stamina as a resource.

A Beta of the game containing its prologue is available now on Steam.
